Mexican Government Scholarship 2024-25 Fully Funded

The Mexican Government Scholarship is open to students from all over the world. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a citizen of a country eligible for the scholarship
  • Hold a relevant degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) for your chosen program.
  • Be accepted or already enrolled in a program at a participating Mexican university.
  • Not currently living in Mexico.
  • The program you choose should benefit your home country’s development.

Benefits:

  • Research stay at the Master’s level, a monthly amount for maintenance of 4 (four) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), currently equivalent to $13,202.12 monthly Mexican pesos. The Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) is subject to the changes established by law. (Child support delivered a month in arrears).
  • For PhD scholarships: Doctoral Research Stays and Postdoctoral, Medical Specialties and Subspecialties, an amount monthly for maintenance of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), equivalent today at $16,502.65 in Mexican pesos. The Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) is subject to the changes established by law. (Child support delivered a month in arrears).
  • Health insurance: Stay covered throughout your scholarship period.

  • Recent medical certificate
  • Signed letter of intent Briefly explain why you want to study in Mexico (around 2 pages).
  • University acceptance letter (Proof you’ve been accepted into a program at a Mexican university).
  • Detailed CV (resume)
  • Birth certificate copy
  • In those cases in which Spanish is not the mother tongue of the applicant, must submit a copy of proof of advanced knowledge of the Spanish language issued by any university or educational center for its accreditation, that guarantees a minimum level of B2, within the Common Framework European Reference.
  • All documents and forms must be in Spanish or submitted with translations into Spanish.
