Organized by Kyungdong University Global (KDU Global), the KGIP is an annual program designed to bring together hundreds of international and Korean students. The program goes beyond traditional classroom learning by offering a unique blend of academic courses, cultural events, exciting field trips, and social activities. This immersive approach fosters a rich learning environment that allows participants to develop a deeper understanding of Korean culture, build valuable language skills, and gain a global perspective. KGIP offers a variety of courses designed to introduce participants to Korean language, history, society, and culture. These courses are taught by experienced instructors who use interactive methods to create a stimulating learning environment. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some prior knowledge of Korean, KGIP offers courses tailored to your level of proficiency. KGIP immerses participants in the rich tapestry of Korean culture through meticulously planned events. These events may include traditional dance performances, folk art demonstrations, visits to historical sites and museums, and opportunities to participate in authentic Korean cuisine workshops. Through these experiences, participants gain a deeper appreciation for Korean traditions, customs, and ways of life.
KGIP organizes exciting field trips and tours to popular tourist destinations throughout South Korea. These excursions provide participants with a firsthand opportunity to explore the country’s stunning natural beauty, vibrant cities, and historical landmarks. Some potential destinations may include Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) separating North and South Korea, or the beautiful island of Jeju. KGIP fosters a strong sense of community among participants by organizing social activities throughout the program. These activities may include game nights, cultural exchange evenings, and opportunities to volunteer in local communities. Through these interactions, participants build friendships with students from diverse backgrounds and create lasting memories.
Session I: Global Networking and Cultural Immersion:
- Duration of Program: July 15 to August 9, 2024 (4 weeks).
- This program provides an opportunity for Korean and international students to establish networks, build friendships, and exchange cultures.
- Participants will engage in activities and sessions including Korean language, culture, and history, K-Beauty, K-Pop, K-Cuisine, and K-Sports.
- Includes tours and trips to the most popular industrial and cultural sites around Korea!
Session II: Global Student Mobility -Academic Semester:
- Duration: August 26, 2024, to December 13, 2024 (16 weeks – Fall’24 Semester).
- Allows international students to enroll in credit-yielding academic courses at KDU Global.
- Offers Specializations in the fields of Business, Computer Science, Korean Studies, and Hospitality.
- Embodies exciting field trips throughout Korea.
- Offers community service opportunities and cultural events.

Eligibility Criteria:
KGIP welcomes applications from international students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a recognized university outside of South Korea.
