The Community Engagement Exchange Program (CEE Program) 2025, offered by the U.S. Department of State and administered by IREX, is designed to empower emerging civil society leaders from around the world. Through a year-long cultural exchange experience, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed to make a lasting impact in your own community.
The CEE Program is a fully-funded exchange program that brings together young leaders from over 100 countries. The program covers all your major expenses, including travel to and from the U.S., health insurance, and a monthly allowance to help with living costs. Eligibility Criteria Of The Scholarship:
- You gotta be between 21 and 27 years old on the application deadline (July 2nd, 2024).
- This program is for folks who are citizens of a country on the list of eligible countries (check the list Here).
- You should be living and working in your home country at the time you apply.
- You need a minimum of 2 years of experience working on community projects, either as a volunteer or in a paid position.
- You should be currently involved in a community project back home and have a clear idea of how you want to keep working on making a positive impact in your community in the future.
- Be able to travel to the USA for three months sometime between March and July of 2025.
- After the program in the USA, you need to be committed to returning to your home country to use your experience for good.
- You can’t be a US citizen or permanent resident, and you can’t have applied for permanent residency in the last 3 years.
- You gotta be eligible to get a US J-1 visa.
