Application Process & Selection:
- Step 1: Access Your mySNU Account
- Head to the mySNU portal (https://my.snu.ac.kr/). New students will need to create an account before applying.
- Step 2: Navigate to the Scholarship Application
- Within mySNU, find the “Academic Affairs” section. Look for “Scholarship” options and then “Apply/See Status” followed by “Apply for Scholarship.” Alternatively, you can reach it through “Academic Affairs” > “My Info” > “Student Info” > “Manage Student Services/Activities.”
- Step 3: Find and Apply for the SNU Global Scholarship Program
- Locate the specific notice for the “SNU Global Scholarship Program” and click “Apply.” Here’s your chance to showcase your qualifications!
- Step 4: Craft Your Application
- Fill out the application form, clearly stating your reason for applying (limited to 400 characters). You can make an even stronger impression by submitting an optional video (maximum 5 minutes) hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. This video should highlight your academic achievements, your study plan for SNU, and your goals after graduation.
- Step 5: Selection Process
- After submitting your application, your affiliated college/department will carefully review it. They will then inform the Office of International Affairs (OIA) of their decision. The type of scholarship you receive (GS1 or GS2) depends on the screening results and available spots within your college/department.
- Be Aware: Some colleges/departments may request additional documents during the screening process. Keep an eye out for announcements from your designated college/school.
- The OIA will then announce the final scholarship decisions via email. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
